The Microbest BCG has been designed from the ground up with the most avid shooters in mind, using only the best materials available on the market today. The bolt assembly is machined from Carpenter No. 158® steel, shot-peened, MP marked, HP tested, and has a tool steel extractor that is machined from bar stock. Microbest is the OEM manufacturer and supplier of bolt carrier groups for a lot of popular rifle manufacturers, including but not limited to, Bravo Company Mfg and Sons of Liberty. Microbest is trusted to build a bolt carrier group that exceeds the MIL requirements from the right materials and processes with great attention to detail.

Every detail is as advertised. Tooling is without blemishes. Had I known about this BCG before I bought branded phosphated ones from DD and SOLGW, I’d have saved a bit of cash. That said, the DD and SOLGW BCGs are also top tier and are in use in my SBRs. If you are new to AR-15 builds and want a quality BCG at an affordable price, this is the one to buy.

For the price and upgrades it comes with is definitely worth the price. Ordered one. When it came in, I installed it. The finish is very clean and the bolt locks in the lugs solid. Processing and shipping was quick. Being satisfied, I ended up buying another one. Thanks MWO!

PROS – If you are here you probalby already know that Microbest is rumored to make BCG’s for several other highly regarded companies like Bravo Company, Sons of Liberty Gun Works, etc. Midwest was one of the only places that sell this BCG under the Microbest name that INCLUDES the upgraded Sprinco springs and OCKS screws and the phosphate extractor. The ones that you do find on other sites are about the same price or a bit cheaper but they the vast majority do not have those upgrades making this a great deal! $119 and $7 shipping and no tax.
*The weight in the description says it is 15 ounces but my scale says 11.6 ounces. Even better.
**CONS** With the way the postal services treat your packages I was highly disappointed that this came in just a bubble envelope and not something more substantial like a box to protect it. However, it did arrive UNDAMAGED but I am a little concerned for future orders and wheter they would be willing to cover any shipping damage. I do need to order a couple more…

Absolutely exceptional BCG. These are the best I have ever seen. The quality is great, the function is perfect, they clean up easily and they are just beautiful.
