Modlite IR-850 Light Head – Multi-Mode (Throw)
The Modlite IR-850 Light head outputs IR light in the 850nm IR spectrum, illuminating targets out to 300 yards or further depending on atmospheric conditions. The reflector is designed to deliver a good amount of spill and a well-defined hot spot. This is our highest-performance IR head and best suits those looking for the most throw.
Unlike our white light heads which utilize a Multi-Mode that prioritizes the High output, IR Multi-Mode operates with a “Admin/High” prioritization, making for more accessible handheld and helmet worn admin lighting. If Admin mode is not desired, this can be locked out and the light can be run in a “High only” state for weapon-mounted applications.
Runtime with 18650:
“High Only” Mode will have a 75 minute runtime.
“Multi-Mode” will have both the Admin and High modes for quick switching between outputs. High mode will have a 75 minute constant runtime. Admin mode will have a 10.6 hour runtime and is 15% of the high output.
Runtime with 18350:
High Mode will have a 35 minute runtime.
“Multi-Mode” will have both the Admin and High modes for quick switching between outputs. High mode will have a 35 minute constant runtime. Admin mode will have a 3.6 hour runtime and is 15% of the high output.
